Crystal Cove

My sis in law planned a day retreat for me, one that involved hiking around crystal cove, reading scripture along the way and being limited to taking 15 pictures. I loved how being limited to 15 shots for the day allowed me to really take in what I was looking at rather than relentlessly taking pictures, trying to get the perfect photo. I must have watched how and where the spray of the water fell over the rock for a half hour before I decided to “spend” a click of my camera on it. It also pushed me to just set down the camera, not trying to capture anything, but just simply observe and enjoy. I needed this. This retreat also caused me to talk to the Creator about his creation, and tell Him how much I loved the work of His hands. What a gift, thank you Erin!
